XS Venus De Milo

This ancient Venus statue is also known as the Aphrodite goddess. The original goddess Venus statue can be found in Paris at the Louvre Museum. Venus De Milo / Aphrodite was carved by the sculptor of Antioch on the Maeander River at about 150 BC and it was only later rediscovered. The general composition was derived from a 4th-century Corinthian statue. In Greek Mythology the goddess Aphrodite's son was named Eros for the Greeks and Cupid, the god of love and sexual desire and the messenger of love, for the Romans. To this day the Venus statue remains a sculptural masterpiece with few equals.
