L Birth Of Venus rising

The birth of Venus art shown in the picture is based on the original painting by the great Italian artist Sandro Botticelli (1455-1510). The birth of Venus art was painted in 1484 AD and the artist's masterpiece now hangs in the Galleria delgi Uffizi in Florence, Italy. Botticelli made Venus according to classic mythology and so she appears on a seashell symbolizing being born from the sea. And as the story goes "she arose from the ocean she stepped onto a floating seashell. The delicate droplets of water that rolled gently down her body fell into the shell, creating beautifully formed pearls. Her long flowing hair was blown softly by Zephyr and Chloris, creating a warm breeze that floated Venus ashore." The waves in her hair suggest blowing wind.
