M Moses This Michelangelo statue shows a classic depiction of the bible figure Moses the leader, lawgiver, and historian that lived in the thirteenth and early part of the 12th Century BC. As a baby Moses was found floating down the bank of the Nile in Egypt. After that Moses, as told in the bible, starting off as a mere shepherd who talked directly to god, eventually to become a prophet and separate the red sea for the slaves of exodus of Egypt. One of the most puzzling features of Michelangelo's statue of Moses are the two horns placed on top of his head.
