L Charioteer of Delphi Bust Grecian Olympiad The Charioteer of Delphi is one of the best known ancient olympic game winner Greek statues and is one of the best preserved examples of classical bronze art shown at the Museum of Delphi and is considered to be a fine example of the "Severe" style. The charioteer of Delphi was erected at Delphi, in Greece, to commemorate the victory of a chariot race, probably in 474 BC. The statue was made not to celebrate the charioteer, as we might suppose, but the owner of the chariot and the team of four horses.
