This receptacle is known
as the Cornucopia vase and it makes a fine table
centerpiece. Its abstract shape and form is said
to be in the resemblance of a goat's horn. Legend
says that the cornucopia vase represents the horn
of the goat that suckled Zeus, which broke off
and mysteriously became overfilled with fruit,
flowers and grain, thus signifying prosperity.
In folklore and mythology the cornucopia horn,
symbolized here as a vase, became full of whatever
its owner's imagination desired. The Cornucopia
centerpiece vase will make a dignified enhancement
of any garden or interior decor setting, especially
when filled with a bouquet of florals or left
empty by itself.
