Tree of Life Parallels in Architectural
Columns. The "tree of life", like the one
at the Kodak Center in Hollywood that is almost an identical
copy of 3,000 year old Sumerian stone etchings that
the design of greek and roman columns were originally
based on. One can clearly see the connection between
roman columns and the tree of life embedded symbology
by noticing that the top of each of their sides is curved
like the leaves and stalks of a plant topped in the
center with a flower representing the connection to
fertility and the reproduction of the plant. Notice
also that the upper bending (stalks or shafts) often
have leaves at different levels. Of course Greek and
Roman columns are very much more of an abstract art
than a exact copy for getting a clear identification
of the pre-biblical plant. The roman column is a direct
symbolism of the tree of life and was revered as a divine
plant for its unique properties of giving wisdom and
immortality.
